Long Term Vision and Objectives of LDSFA

Brief Outline
1. Integrated Community Service for various communities in India and also for the South Asian Indian Community members out-side India focusing on Lifestyle Modifications for a Healthy Body, Mind and Spirit. This will develop a physically healthy community of law-abiding citizens with good spiritual and ethical values.
2. Spiritual Educational Programmes to teach Spirituality, Ritualistic traditions, Ethics as in the culture, Temple worship methods, Hindu classical literatures, Puranas, Bhajans, Mantras and slokas in Sanskrit and Tamil for all Hindus, both men and women of all jaathis, all combined under one roof. We also need to support priests, teachers and schools that teach the traditions.
3. Social Support Services for the youth educating them on the importance of learning values of society early in life with educational programs on Cultural validation and Social studies and should be encouraged to work together with team spirit and discipline in conserving their social values and be proud of their traditions.
4. Intensified Educational Services projects for the youth will focus on academic improvement through free tutoring in all subjects and assistance in getting them to do their homework and combining this project with faith Based studies and Spiritual studies explaining the ancient texts and teaching from India, proper History of Indian Civilization, Indian Language studies.
5. Faith Based Social Service Programs are needed to be arranged for all needy adults among the community members living below poverty line in Indian cities and villages. This will be including vocational development and training, Health education programs and free Health camps, along with few hours of teaching in ancient customs, traditions, ethics and philosophy.
6. Spiritual Eco-Tourism Project will be organized as Faith-based Ecotourism camps in several cities and Temple towns in India for expatriate Indian youth and join with local youth. They will organize 1 week & 2 weeks Faith Based Eco-Tourism for Expatriate Indian Youth and join with Local Youth, stay in the Matam or ashram for daily Spiritual lessons and practice of traditions.
7. Youth Service Forum will be organized to involve students studying in schools and colleges in Temple related activities and also help them in Youth Development projects. They will organize tours to see and attend rituals and functions in known temples and conduct periodical seminars and conferences on Indian culture and Hindu Dharma.
8. “Organizational Networking” plan will be organized to support and work in cooperation with other like minded groups in India to carryout such activities listed above in a coordinated way.
9. Start chapters in various cities on above activities and possibly start and support a Tabloid newspaper, as well as e-paper on Hindu Dharma for communication with all members.
